- Reading Activity: Reading sessions, journal entries, quotes, and statistics you create within the app.
- Account Information: If you enable iCloud sync, we use your Apple ID to sync data across your devices.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Sync your data across your devices using iCloud
- Display your reading statistics and progress
- Process your subscription purchases through Apple
Data Storage
Your data is stored locally on your device and optionally in iCloud if you enable sync. We do not store your personal reading data on our servers.
- Local Storage: All book data, reading sessions, and preferences are stored on your device.
- iCloud: If enabled, data is synced through Apple's iCloud service, governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Apple: For iCloud sync, App Store purchases, and StoreKit transactions.
- Open Library: To search for book information and cover images. No personal data is shared with Open Library.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Your reading data is yours and stays on your devices.
Data Retention
Your data remains on your device until you choose to delete it. If you delete the app, all locally stored data will be removed. iCloud data can be managed through your Apple ID settings.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data at any time within the app
- Export your data in various formats (CSV, JSON)
- Delete your data by removing it from the app or deleting the app
- Disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings
Children's Privacy
PageTurner does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
